So much to do...
Intriguing shops, excellent art galleries and gourmet restaurants. Fishing for salmon or bass, hiking to the summit of Mount Finlayson or golf at San Juan Island Golf and Country Club. So much to do and weve yet to mention sea kayaking, scuba diving and bicycling around the islands! No matter what you choose to do, dont forget to leave time to enjoy one of our evening treats at the Inn before you call it a day.
Whale watching? Try San Juan Safaris. Good places to get more ideas about things to do here on the island are the San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau and San Juan Island Web Directory. To find out about events, festivals and other doings here on the island try the San Juan Island Community Calendar, the San Juan Update or the San Juan Islander. One more thing
many of our shops and galleries stay open all year and with fewer visitors, its a great time to visit the islands! In the early spring, the temperatures are between 40 and 60 degrees. Plants bloom; deer, red foxes and other island wildlife have their young and shorebirds nest. In the late fall and winter the temperatures hover between 30 and 50 degrees. Just layer your clothes, bring a sweater and watch the Canadian Geese fly over. |
