For the third year we were selected for the Best of Friday Harbor Award in the Bed and Breakfasts category by the U.S. Commerce Association. Nationwide, only 1 in 120 (1%) award recipients qualified as three-time winners. The USCA award program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USCA and data provided by third parties.
One of our 2011 quests said: It was absolutely wonderful to stay here; breakfast was wonderful and there is nothing guite so nice as sitting in the sunlight enjoying a cup of tea...
Yes, we have pets...
These are the dogs: Obadiah is the
smaller of the two, an English
Springer Spaniel. Lucious is the
larger, much larger, Great White Pyrenees. We have two cats as well, Penny is a Calico and Clint is a fluffy, white Himalayan.
Our room names...
... reflect where we are, surrounded
by forest on beautiful San Juan Island. The Lakeview room remains the same with it's great view of Sportsman Lake. The Marilyn room has changed to The Forest, which is what you see out of your room windows. The Morning Star room has changed to The Salal, a native berry bush that is prolific on our grounds. The North Star is now the Nautical, ocean or sea just didn't seem to work.
